Duties:1. Assist in developing an environment that maximizes each persons choice and ability in all their daily routines and living skills.
2. Training and Support
-Provide support and training to individuals as identified in IPP.
-Ensure individuals physical and mental needs are being cared for by assisting the individuals in arranging necessary appointments. Assisting with transportation as needed and assuring the appropriate medical documentation has been completed.
- Assist the individuals in planning and implementing individual or small groupsocial/recreational activities.
- Provide transportation when necessary for shopping trips, banking, business, etc
- Assure accurate documentation and filing according to agency and program policies.
3. Primary Responsibilities
- Assure the development and implementation of the residential program. Including the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports/evaluations.
- Assure all records are kept up-to-date including objective books and living arrangement files.
- Assure the individual develops a safety plan that is reviewed on a quarterly basis.
4. General Responsibilities
- Assure accurate documentation and filing according to agency and program policies.
- Promote positive communication and working relationships with all team members and community.
- Refer to the "Emergency Calling List" in case of any serious problems/emergencies for individuals or building maintenance.
- Carry out request or other responsibilities as assigned by the RPI or Residential Manager.
- To complete the mandatory Residential Attendant (RA) Courses.
- Attend monthly inservices.
- Attend staff meetings as requested.
-Support Hope Haven's philosophy, vision, and mission statements.
-Follows all safety procedures and promotes safety measures among team and clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Overnight Waiver Staff
1. Assist with tasks as assigned by supervisor.
2. Be awake when individuals are up.
3. In case of snow overnight: (In Hope Haven owned/operated sites only) Assist the individuals in assuring the snow is removed to Community Standards/Regulations assuring safety.

2. Make apartment checks (not necessarily visual) on each person and chart at the following times:
A. Between 10:30-11:00 p.m.
B. Between 2:30 – 3:00 a.m.
C. Between 6:00 – 7:00 a.m.
NOTE: The attendant may sleep from midnight to 6:00 a.m. if all assigned tasks are completed, but must awaken and conduct apartment checks between 2:30 – 3:00 a.m.
3. Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in the setting as outlined on the cleaning and maintenance schedule.
4. Prior to 12:00 midnight, insure the appropriate doors are locked.
5. In case of snow overnight, (in Hope Haven owned/operated buildings) assure that snow removal is completed on the sidewalks, in areas of entry, spreading sand/salt as needed.

Qualifications: 1High School graduate or GED; BA degree or experience in Human Services Field preferred.
2. Ability to work with people, providing support in all aspects of daily living as directed by each person's individual plan.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
5. Ability co complete/pass required medication administration course.
6. Ability to complete R.A. course and/or required orientation training and all other agency training requirements.
7. Possess a valid drivers license and ability to acquire an Iowa Type "D" license with endorsement 3 when required.
8. Up-to-date physical.
9. Clearance from a criminal background check and abuse reporting check at time of hire.
