| Description: | This is a supervisory position located in Orange City, Iowa. |
| Duties: | 1. Provide leadership in developing a home structure that maximizes each resident’s choice and ability in their daily routines and living skills.
2. Provide leadership to the instructor staff along with supervision of the resident’s programs in the home and community.
3. Serve as “Primary” staff to the residents and complete all necessary responsibilities, such as Safety Drills, LAF review, Consumer meetings, attendance forms, etc.
4. Manage the development and implementation of the residential program including the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual evaluations and reports as are required.
5. Assure accurate documentation and filing according to agency and program policies.
6. Ensure that arranging or coordinating necessary appointments and giving assistance as needed are caring for the resident’s physical and mental needs.
7. Provide the “initial orientation” to all residents in this program.
8. Assist Residential Specialist in training of new staff regarding their duties and responsibilities.
9. Liaison person between Residential Specialist and Waiver staff as it pertains to resident’s programs.
10. Assist Residential Specialist in the implementation of any individual resident’s budget,
and/or any operational budget plan.

| Qualifications: | 1. High school graduate or GED; BA degree and/or 1 year experience in Human Services Field preferred.
2. Ability to work with people, providing support in all aspects of daily living as directed by each person’s individual plan.
3. Good communication (verbal and written), organizational, leadership skills.
4. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
5. Ability to complete/pass required medication administration course.
6. Ability to complete RA courses and/or required orientation training and all other agency training requirements.
7. Work as a team player.
8. Possess a valid drivers license and ability to acquire an Iowa Type “D” license with endorsement 3 when required.
9. Up-to-date physical
10. Clearance from criminal and abuse reporting at time of hire.
11. Negative drug screening. |
