| Description: | Respite care for adolescent individuals with physical or mental disabilites. Assist in developing and environment that maximizes each persons choice and ability to all their daily routines and living skills. Positions located in Sheldon and Orange City area. Men and women encouraged to apply. |
| Duties: | 1. Provide support and training to individuals.
2. Ensure individuals physical and mental needs are being cared for.
3. Assist the individuals in arranging necessary appointments.
4. Assist the individuals in planning and implementing individual or small group social/recreational activities.
5. Assure accurate documentation and filing according to agency and program policies. |
| Qualifications: | 1. Must be 16 years of age and recommended for hire by family/client.
2. Must be 18 years of age to drive a client and have obtained a Type “D” license with endorsement
3. Ability to work with people, providing support in all aspects of daily living as directed by each person’s individual plan.
4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
6. Clearance from a criminal background check and abuse reporting check at time of hire.
7. Negative drug screening.
